Tuition & Fees

Payment of Education Cost

Payments of tuition and fees is due at the Business Office on the date indicated on the student’s bill. Any student with outstanding financial obligations to the Academe will not be permitted to register for any subsequent courses or receive a transcript or diploma until the obligation is fulfilled. Each student is responsible for purchasing books used in class. Students maintaining a balance owed to the Academe will be assessed late fees ($25.00 per month) and will be responsible for collection and/or costs if such efforts should become necessary.

Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee of $25 should be sent with the enclosed application or it will be added to the fees for the first session of attendance.

Tuition Rate

Each student is charged $9.50 per contact hour. The 500-hour Diploma program is $4,750. These charges are subject to change. If such a tuition change occurs students will be notified in writing in advance. There is no cash-discount for tuition or fees. Books not included.

Tutorial Fee

For students having difficulty with course work needing additional instruction, or other class time private instruction is available for fifty ($50.00) dollars per hour. Students wishing private instruction must make prior arrangements with the class instructor.

Transcript Fee

A per copy fee ($5.00) is assessed for the issuance of official Academe transcripts. A transcript will not be issued to a student with an outstanding financial obligation to the Academe.

Returned Check Fee $30.00
Calculated Student’s hours Fee $5.00
Improper uses of school linen Fee $10.00

Withdrawal & Refund Policies

The postsecondary proprietary educational institution shall pay a refund to the student in the amount calculated under the refund policy specified in this section or as otherwise approved by the commission. The institution must make the proper refund no later than thirty-one (31) days of the student’s request for cancellation or withdrawal.


If a student withdraws from the institution on or before the first day of classes, or fails to begin classes, the refund shall equal the sum of all refundable fees paid less an administrative fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) (b) The following refund policy applies to each resident postsecondary proprietary educational institution.

(1) A student is entitled to a full refund if one (1) or more of the following criteria are met:


A) The student cancels the enrollment agreement or enrollment application within six (6) business days
after signing.
B) The student’s enrollment was procured because of a misrepresentation in the written materials utilized
by the postsecondary proprietary educational institution.
C) If a student withdraws from the institution on or before the first day of classes, or fails to begin classes, the refund shall
equal the sum of all refundable fees paid less an administrative fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00)


(2) If after classes have commenced and before the expiration of twenty (20) contact hours of the period of enrollment for which
the student was charged, a student withdraws, drops out, is expelled, or otherwise fails to attend classes, the refund shall equal
ninety percent (90%) of all refundable fees paid and the student owes the institution ten (10%) less administrative fee of one
hundred dollars ($100.00).


(3) If after classes have commenced and after the expiration of twenty (20) contact hours and before the expiration of one hundred twenty five (125) contact hours of the period of enrollment for which the student was charged, a student withdraws, drops out, is expelled, or otherwise fails to attend classes, the refund shall equal seventy-five percent (75%) of all refundable fees paid and the student owes the institution twenty-five (25%) less administrative fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00).


(4) If after classes have commenced and after the expiration of one hundred twenty five (125) contact hours and before the expiration of two hundred fifty (250) contact hours of the period of enrollment for which the student was charged, a student withdraws, drops out, is expelled, or otherwise fails to attend classes, the refund shall equal fifty percent (50%) of all refundable fees paid and the student owes the institution fifty (50%) less administrative fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00).


(5) If after classes have commenced and after the expiration of two hundred fifty (250) contact hours and before the expiration of
three hundred (300) contact hours of the period of enrollment for which the student was charged, a student withdraws, drops out, is expelled, or otherwise fails to attend classes, the refund shall equal forty percent (40%) of all refundable fees paid and the
student owes the institution sixty (60%) less administrative fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00).


(6) After classes have commenced and after the expiration of three hundred (300) contact hours, the institution is entitled to one
hundred percent (100%) of the tuition. A refund will be provided for program fees if the good or service covered by the program fee has been fully provided by the institution.
